Lismore Regional Uniting Church

(Lismore Regional Uniting Church is the collective name for the Uniting Church in Australia worshipping communities at Bexhill, Coraki, Jiggi, Kyogle and Lismore)

We seek to be a community which is inclusive and generous, honest and accountable, just and compassionate, hopeful and courageous.

Your Uniting Church is a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, so make yourself at home. Each service is a little different and yet they have a familiar flavour. We try to make the familiar things feel new, and the new things feel familiar.

What’s Happening Around the Region

To Elders past, present and future, and on whose land we meet for worship, and to witness and serve, we pay our respects. We acknowledge that this land was never ceded, and in fact was stolen from first peoples. Not only the land, but food, culture, lore, people, dignity, sexual relations, life, bodies, body parts, and artefacts. We acknowledge that truth telling is part of the pathway to reconciliation. In Christ we seek restoration, re-creation and right relationships with God and all God’s peoples.

We had a great day representing Jiggi Uniting Church at the Jiggi Community Fair. Lots of new friends, some great ideas, sold a bunch of Teddies, Church Mice and Red Dove cookies and we look forward to seeing quite a few new folks and families keen to join our monthly services soon. We would also like to send a big shout-out Thank You!! to Pat Fields for generously (and bravely!) lendng us his whizz bang computer, to Deb Nicholls for inviting us to participate and to Chrissy and Patricia from Red Cross Geebung who very kindly helped boost our Teddy population. Blessings to you all💛

Lismore Regional Church strives to transform communities through, Lives being healed, Hope being renewed and Love being restored.

As a people journeying together

we affirm our calling under God

Bearing witness to the unity of faith and life in Christ goes beyond mere words or beliefs. It means living in a way that reflects the transformative power of the Gospel, Living a creative and adventurous life of faith, recognizing, valuing, and utilizing the gifts of the Spirit that God has given to each individual and celebrating the unique talents and abilities that we possess. Taking responsibility for the wise use and preservation of the Earth’s finite resources is a vital part of our stewardship as followers of Christ. Walking alongside the marginalized, the hurting, and the poor is at the core of Jesus’ teachings. Engaging in prophetic ministry against social evils is a courageous and essential part of being a Christian.

Let us all strive to live out these principles with passion and dedication, bringing glory to God .
